SunDoku (“we”, “us”) is a casual puzzle game made by SunPlay Studio. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and who else is involved.
The game contains no advertising. As of 11 September 2026 the advertising library has been removed from SunDoku entirely, and with it the advertising identifier. Earlier versions of this policy described rewarded video and the Android Advertising ID; neither is part of the game any more.
| Category | Data | When | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gameplay analytics | Events with no personal data: levels started, completed, failed or abandoned; screens opened; in-game currency and boosters earned and spent; progress reached. Each event carries a random install identifier generated on the device, the app version, the chosen language and the number of days since installation. | Always | Understanding where players get stuck; improving difficulty, balance and interface |
| Local game data | Your progress, settings and a local copy of the event log, stored on your device | Always | Running the game and keeping your progress between sessions |
| Crash reports | If the game crashes: the type of error and where in the code it happened, the device model, the Android version and the app version. No personal data and nothing about what you were solving | Only when the game crashes | Finding and fixing the crash |
| Install attribution | Where the install came from — the Google Play campaign, source and referral tags that Google Play passes to the app on first launch. It contains no personal data and does not identify you | Always | Understanding which channels bring players, so we know where to tell people about the game |
| Purchase data | The fact that a purchase or subscription was made, its product identifier and its status (active, expired, refunded). Payments are processed by Google Play | Only if you buy something | Delivering what you bought, keeping a subscription active, support and refunds |
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos or files, and we do not collect the Android Advertising ID — the permission that would allow it is removed from the app. We never see your card or bank details: payments are handled entirely by Google Play, which shares with us only the outcome of a transaction. The game has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not sell data. The install identifier is a random value created on first launch; it stays on your device, is not tied to you, and a reinstall produces a new one.
| Service | Purpose | When | Their policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Receives the gameplay events described above and aggregates them for us | Always | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Remote Config | Delivers game settings (difficulty, prices, feature switches) without an app update; carries no personal data | Always | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Receives a report when the game crashes, so we can fix it | Only after a crash | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | Processes purchases and subscriptions | When you buy something | policies.google.com/privacy |
Everything we send travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Google also derives an approximate country from the network address of the request; we neither collect nor store your location ourselves. When you install the game, Google Play tells it which campaign or link the install came from — that is the install attribution described above, and it says nothing about who you are.
SunDoku has no advertising at all. Not between games, not in the shop, not anywhere else. There is no advertising code in the app: the ad library, the ad service and the reward-video offer were removed on 11 September 2026, so there is nothing left that could show you an ad. Nothing in the game is locked behind watching one.
The Android Advertising ID is not collected either. Google's analytics library declares that permission by default; we remove it when the app is built, so it is absent from the released package. You can still reset or delete the identifier yourself on your device at any time: Settings → Google → Ads.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, the game asks you on first launch whether it may send the anonymous gameplay statistics described in section 2. Until you answer, nothing is collected; if you decline, nothing is collected at all and the game plays exactly the same. Your answer is remembered on the device, so you are asked only once.
The question is asked by the game itself, in its own window. It used to be Google's consent form, which came bundled with the advertising library; that library is gone, and with it the form. Elsewhere in the world the window is not shown, because consent is not required there.
SunDoku does not send you notifications. The game asks for no notification permission at runtime and has no code that posts one. Android still lists the notification permission for the app, because the Google Firebase libraries the game uses declare it for themselves; nothing in the game acts on it. If we ever add notifications — for example to tell you that your energy is full — they will be opt-in and you will be asked first.
Versions that include purchases sell in-game currency, boosters and a subscription that grants in-game benefits. All payments are processed by Google Play under your Google account: we receive only the product, the transaction status and the subscription period — never your payment details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You manage and cancel them in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running. Refunds follow Google Play policy; write to us and we will help.
SunDoku is rated for everyone and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days. Purchase records are kept as long as required for accounting and support. Local game data lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall the game — that also stops all collection.
If you are in the EU, EEA or the UK you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In practice the analytics we hold is not linked to any person: it is tied only to a random install identifier, and we have no way of telling which installation belongs to which individual (Article 11 GDPR). We will not ask you for extra personal information just to make that match. Purchase records can be found by the Google Play order number from your receipt — send it to us and we will act on your request. You can stop all collection at any time by uninstalling the game.
Local data. Everything the game stores on your device — progress, settings and the local copy of the event log — is removed when you uninstall SunDoku. Uninstalling also stops all further collection.
Analytics we hold. Write to
info@sunplaystudio.com with the subject
Data deletion. We reply and act on your request within 30 days. Please note what we
explain in section 8: analytics events carry only a random install identifier, so in most cases we
have no way of telling which records belong to you. If you have made a purchase, include the Google
Play order number from your receipt — that lets us find and delete the related records.
Analytics consent. In the EU, EEA and the UK you can decline collection when the game asks on first launch (section 4b). Declining stops it entirely.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
